Moscow Boom Festival
Boom Festival Moscú

photos by EUGENY IVANOV

After the Boom Festival in Moscow, I think it is certain that Russia not only lives from corruption and that Spain is much more than bulls and wine.

Spanish companies high level of commitment with art, design and sustainability, and the professionalism and sound judgement of the Russian organizers which made out of this event what should be a reference on product fairs at a European level: small , lively, smart and professional-oriented.

I would like to specially thank the Arte Domo team for its warm welcome and all to the Spanish companies for their kindness and the great sense of companionship they showed.

Thank you all.

SPANISH DESIGN GETS TOGETHER!
EL DISEÑO ESPAÑOL SE ASOCIA.

red_asociacion

Spanish companies of habitat design products have led the creation of a non-profit-making national Association.

RED, as the Association is called, aims to count with most of the contemporary design enterprises in any of its different sectors of interior design - commercial, hospitality and residential. Another goal is to articulate its members’ interests and develop a “Spanish Design” positioning strategy, in both domestic and international markets.

This initiative has been fostered by the following companies, many of them awarded with the “Premios Nacionales de Diseño Español” (Spanish Design Award): Nani Marquina, Bd Barcelona, Marset, Santa & Cole, Onn Outside, Joquer, Abr, Mobles 114  and now Tres Tintas BCN is a part of it.

A project of Ecograma Shop
Un proyecto de Ecograma

As simple as deciding that no furniture and we both want to be all things.

This paradox is resolved by creating a large container that was born just at the entrance to the floor and reaches the room

This volume revolves large roof creating different levels that generate different spaces and reduces the visual elongated and irregular space. The austerity of this solution allows the origin of the contrasting elements of the furniture and give character to the interior space.

Javier Mariscal work in the London Design Museum
Javier Mariscal en el Design Museum de Londres

From 1th July till 1th November

The Design Museum, devoted to design in every form, is set on the banks of the River Thames next door to the Tate Modern.Drawing Life is not a retrospective, in the sense that the work is not organised chronologically. Grouped by concepts, it is spread over six exhibition spaces, some in installation form, and invites viewing in random order.

Collage walls, graphic curtains, objects, drawings, sketches, audiovisuals and small displays illustrate the key elements, the evolution and the methodology of Javier Mariscal’s per¬sonal language. The exhibition was created after an exhaus¬tive trawl through his physical and digital archives to select the more than 2,000 objects and images on show.

Drawing Life was approached as a reflection on the more than thirty years work that spans the professional life of Javier Mariscal. It expresses how his language and iconog¬raphy evolved, how he used his obsessions and approach to life to bring shape and content to his artistic work, indeed to all the design disciplines in which he has been involved.

It also uses the syntax of his work to explore the limits of the designer’s trade. The design of the exhibition itself reflects the ease with which this work crosses the frontiers between art and design. How the artistic spirit enriches the design solutions, while treating design not as an art but as a trade. The exhibition provides an insight into Mariscal’s creative processes, where everything starts with a drawing and nothing ever seems definitive.

The form chosen to display the projects and contents se¬lected is a celebration of joie de vivre, the emotion of colour, Mediterranean sensuality and the simplicity of drawing and landscape. The hope and expectation of everyone invoved in this exhibition is that through it, visitors to Drawing Life can experience the vital spark generated by the Javier Mariscal’s creativity.

Tres Tintas Barcelona, has collaborated with the Instituto Europeo di Design Master  in Madrid, Textile and surface design.

Good design consists of two aspects: the creative, the opportunity to make a consistent set of ideas about social trends point to a more balanced economy and the possible means, the ability of the person to describe the best routes order to achieve the same, either inthe definition of the technical characteristics of a particular design or in the realization of the manufacturing techniques required to conduct their day or any other contingent factor in the decision-making of a collection, whether for tableware, clothing or any number of decorative elements.
