Where is “UHOLOT” (EARMOUTH)
On 24-25 of July 2010 the 5th International Festival of Landscape Objects, known as ARCH-STROYANIE, took place in Nicolo-Lenivetz. “UHOLOT” designed by the architect D. Alekseev and ARTE DOMO, was one of the more interesting conceptual projects presented at the Festival.
Mr. Alekseev and ARTE DOMO managed an incredible feat: it took two weeks to construct “UHOLOT” and it was done in the open field, at 40ºC. However, their labors weren’t in vain, practically all the visitors to the Festival passed through the UHOLOT hearth which was a sort of official entrance to the event.
All those lucky enough to get into the Festival of Landscape Objects will long remember the event. From the heat of Moscow people had arrived in their thousands to enjoy the open spaces. Some came by bus others by car. Never before had the village of Nicolo-Lenivetz experienced such an onslaught of visitors.
The giant UHOLOT passage personifies an idea, for unity with nature and with each other people must to learn to see and hear one another. UHOLOT symbolizes the association of thought and desire, the transition to a state of freedom, ease and joy.
The audience can easily understand the essence of the project and a flower-bed of eyes and ears dangling from wires (meaning that the ability to see and hear must be nurtured, like flowers) and now questions were asked regarding the concept.
Interior walls were decorated with wallpaper Mil caras («A thousand persons”), created by the great Spanish designer Javier Mariscal for the company Tres Tintas. Art sensitive viewers didn’t leave the wallpaper without attention, the words “Barcelona design” sounded like a password.
UHOLOT exactly matched the idea of the Festival’s curator Oleg Kulik. The official theme of the Festival was “Nine Muses of the Labyrinth”. Forest liturgy, meant that 16 art objects, in one way or another connected with a maze, created a single space through which visitors made a real, but in the subtext a ritual walk, not just through nature, but through the maze of reality. This walk was supposed to lead to a transformation of consciousness.

ГДЕ НАХОДИТЯ УХОЛОТ
24-25 июля 2010 года в деревне Николо-Ленивец Калужской области прошел V Международный фестиваль ландшафтных объектов АРХСТОЯНИЕ. УХОЛОТ – проект архитектора ДМИТРИЯ АЛЕКСЕЕВА и компании ARTE DOMO достойно смотрелся в ряду таких же концептуальных объектов мероприятия.
ДМИТРИЙ АЛЕКСЕЕВ и команда ARTE DOMO совершили подвиг: УХОЛОТ строили в течение двух недель, в открытом поле на 40-градусной жаре. Труд не пропал даром: практически все участники и гости «Архстония» прошли через горнило УХОЛОТА – он, по сути, играл роль торжественного входа на фестиваль.
Все, кому посчастливилось попасть на «Архстояние» в 2010 году, надолго запомнят этот день. Из раскаленной Москвы на природу приехали тысячи людей. Добирались индивидуально на машинах и целыми экскурсиями на автобусах. Николо-Ленивец еще не видел такого пришествия народу.
Гигантский раструб УХОЛОТ олицетворял мысль, что для единения с природой и друг с другом людям необходимо научиться видеть и слышать. УХОЛОТ – метафора объединения помыслов и желаний, переход в состояние свободы, легкости и радости.
Зрители без труда понимали и название, и суть проекта, и клумба из болтавшихся на проволоках глаз и ушей (символ того, что умение слышать и видеть надо взращивать, подобно цветам) лишних вопросов не вызывали.
Внутренние стены объекта украшали обои Mil caras («Тысяча лиц»), созданные великим испанским дизайнером Хавьером Марискалем для компании Tres Tintas. Чуткие искусству зрители не оставили обои без внимания, слова «барселонский дизайн» звучали как пароль.
УХОЛОТ как нельзя более точно соответствовал замыслу куратора «Архстояния» Олега Кулика. Заявленная им тема «Девять Муз Лабиринта. Лесная литургия», подразумевала, что 16 арт-объектов, так или иначе связанных с лабиринтами, выстроятся в единое пространство, по которому зрители совершат вполне реальную, но в подтексте - ритуальную прогулку, якобы не просто по природе, но по лабиринтам реальности. Это путешествие должно было привести к трансформации сознания.

DONDE ESTA “UHOLOT”
Del dia 24 a 25 de Julio 2010 en el pueblo de la región de Kaluga - Nicolo-Lenivets tuvo lugar el V Festival Internacional de los objetos del arte y arquitectura al aire libre “Archstoyanie”. “UHOLOT” (OREJALOT) – el objeto del arquitecto Dmitri Alekseev y ARTE DOMO tomo la posición importante entre otros objetos conceptuales del evento.

Dmitri Alekseev y el equipo ARTE DOMO han realizado una hazaña: construyeron “UHOLOT” durante dos semanas, en el campo abierto a 40 grados de calor. El trabajo no estaba hecho en vano: casi todos los participantes y visitantes de “Archstoyanie” pasaron por el crisol de “UHOLOT” – el objeto, por si mismo, representaba entrada ceremonial al evento.
Todos los que tuvieron la suerte de llegar a “Archstoyanie” 2010, recordarán este día. Miles de personas llegaron desde el infierno caluroso de Moscú a la naturaleza. Vinieron en coches, autobuses de turistas(!) y hasta andando desde la estacion de tren cercana. Nicolo-Lenivez aún no ha visto tal advenimiento de la gente.
Un gigante “UHOLOT” personificaba la idea que para adquirir el balance interno, unidad con la naturaleza y humanidad, la gente tiene que aprender ver y escuchar uno a otro. “UHOLOT” es una metáfora de union de pensamientos y deseos, la transición a un estado de libertad, facilidad y alegría.
El público podia entender fácilmente el concepto. Nombre, la esencia del proyecto, y el jardin de los cables con ojos y oídos (un símbolo de que la capacidad de ver y oir debe ser nutrida, como las flores), no causaron demasiadas preguntas.
Paredes interiores de “UHOLOT” estaban decorados con papel pintado MIL CARAS, creados por el gran diseñador español Javier Mariscal para TRES TINTAS. Espectadores sensibles al arte no dejaron de reconocer el verdadero diseno, las palabras “diseño de Barcelona” soñaban como una contraseña.
“UHOLOT” coincidia exactamente con la intención de Oleg Kulik curador de “Archstoyanie”. Tema del festival - “Nueve Musas de Laberinto. Liturgia de madera”, sobreentendia que los 16 objetos de arte, de una o de otra manera asociados con laberinto, se alinean en un mismo espacio, para que los espectadores podrán hacer una muy real, (pero en el subtexto - la caminata ritual), no ostensiblemente justo por naturaleza, pero por los laberintos de la realidad. Este viaje debía dar lugar a una transformación de la conciencia.
