Sophie

Sophie von Fürstenberg was an eccentric German aristocrat who settled in a flat in the historic centre of Barcelona halfway through the last century. An untiring traveller and photographer with a keen and revealing eye, Sophie turned the house into a buzzing operations room where she could recover from her exploits, develop negatives and organise artistic soirées. This fabulous space, whose mosaics had once seen the likes of Gaudí, Picasso or Dalí, provided the inspiration for the patterns and textures of the Sophie collection. These creations would not have seen the light had it not been for the collaboration of her granddaughter, the only descendant of this great woman so ahead of her time, and who has entrusted Tres Tintas with breathing new life into her grandmother’s legacy. This collection decorates the rooms of the house, retaining its essence, using modern patterns on which, when viewed against the light, the sophisticated and mysterious shadow of Sophie seems to be cast.
