What are the advantages of wallpaper?
Painted paper is a clean product which can be easily and quickly placed and removed. Forget about second layers and endlessly waiting for it to dry. Moreover, it is the quickest way of obtaining a low budget quality result, and the staring point for creating personalised spaces that are comfortable and special.

What must be considered before choosing the right wallpaper?
First, you must consider the wall’s quality. If the wall is in perfect condition, a plain paper will work, or even with a silky or shiny effect. If the wall is not in very good conditions, a textured paper will work better.

What type of wallpapers are there?
There are many types of wallpaper: acrylic, synthetic, textile, vinyl, wood veneer, natural fibres, and even electromagnetic paper which avoids static current.
Tres Tintas has always valued quality and elegance above all. For this reason, our four first collections were manufactured with Duplex paper and following the technological innovations. Non-Wowen paper was used for the last two collections.

With which wallpaper qualities does Tres Tintas Barcelona work with?
Tres Tintas used the quality wallpaper Dúplex for its collections Revival, Déjà Vu y All City Papers. Its a high quality, 150gr./m2 density sandwich paper. It also has Finland’s clean woods certificate. To place it, first adhere the glue on the back of the roll and extend it over the wall.

Non Wowen paper was used for the collections 9 Selvas of Mariscal and Wall-à-Porter. Here, the textile fibres are pressed instead of woven. It has a density of 150gr./m2. To place, first apply the glue to the wall and then adhere the cut piece.

What is rapport?
The rapport is the vertical distance between two identical points of the design. However, it is usually identified with the wallpaper’s repetition pattern. It is an integral part of the design. There are several types of rapport.
- Rapport 0 (zero): the repetition pattern always fits regardless of the adjoining strip’s direction. A good example of this are the stripe patterns.
- Horizontal rapport: design fits through the strips edges forming a design repeated horizontally.
- Diagonal rapport: the repetition pattern in a strip does not fit with the next in a horizontal position. Therefore, the rapport is repeated diagonally and making the repetition less evident. Additional paper will be necessary in order to fit the patterns of 61cm or more (24 inches or more) in this type of rapport,

How can I calculate the number of wallpaper rolls I need?
The measures of each model are indicated in this web. The width is usually 53 cm (20,86 in.), and the length 10 m (11 yd.). Furthermore, each model has a calculator which indicated the amount of rolls necessary depending on your wall’s surface area.

What must be considered before choosing the right type of fabric?
Before choosing a fabric, evaluate your needs and the use that will be given to the fabric. Our fabrics are generally purchased for home applications. Always remember to follow the usage recommendations and symbols included in the price lists, catalogues and in this web page.

How can I take care of the fabrics?
The regular use of a vacuum cleaner with the right complement, will significantly extend your fabric’s useful life. Curtains or tapestry must be cleaned once a week with the vacuum cleaner, apart from brushing the loose particles of furniture or curtains before they are incrusted. Remember that the main reasons for filth is suspended dust, cigarette smoke, gas stoves, chimneys and liquid spills. If you detect a stain, clean it as soon as possible following the washing instructions in the label.

Do the fabric’s colours fade?
Currently, pattern or dyed products for curtains are manufactured with dyes highly resistant to light de-colouring. However, fabrics deteriorate with time, reason why it is recommended to cover the curtains and push them to the sides during the hours of the day with most light.

How can I wash the fabrics?
Certain fabrics must be dried clean while others may be washed at home. This is indicated by the printed symbols on the fabrics sides and in this web page (on product’s characteristics). By general rule, it is advisable to dry clean big items such as curtains, bed covers, or any other article that may not be useful if it shrinks. Don’t forget to measure the length of the curtains before taking them to the dry cleaners and notify the person in charge.
All the articles must be properly rinsed after washed. To dry, centrifuge or dry with drum spinning. Don’t forget to leave them slightly humid for ironing.

Do the fabrics shrink?
Tapestry fabrics shrink up to 5-6 % on its first washes. Dry cleaning may prevent shrinking.
Regarding loose covers, the best method is to wash the fabric before it is tailored in order to avoid shrinking. When this is not possible, try to re-install them while they are still humid leaving them over a sofa or chair.

Can I obtain a fabric sample?
Yes, you may purchase it in this web (from the characteristics page of the model of interest. Choose the samples of the desired models and we will send them to you.

Should I check the purchased product upon receival?
Yes, the is the first thing you should do. Make sure the package is not damaged. Even though it is sent through UPS (the world’s first courier company), the product may suffer damages during transportation (these possible damages are insured)
Once the package has been opened, make sure the product corresponds to your purchase order before opening the bag. Once it is out if the bag, verify there are no manufacturing defects in the illustrations, inks or colours.

Yes, it is easy to place: just follow our user´s manual .
Furthermore, we can offer you the installation kit with all the basic material necessary for a correct installation. Purchase it together with your wallpaper.

Is it necessary to prepare the wall before placing the wallpaper?
Yes, it is essential for the walls to be clean and plain in order for the wallpaper to be placed correctly. Otherwise, there may be adherence problems, etc.

Can wallpaper be placed in the kitchen or bathroom?
Yes, provided the wall doesn’t have humid spots. However, if the paper is close to zones extremely exposed to water or oil, we recommend to apply a liquid latex layer over the paper to avoid deterioration.

What is the most suitable glue for the wallpapers offered by Tres Tintas?
Tres Tintas installation kit includes the right glue for its products and the basic tools for installing.
Warning: porous walls may absorb too much glue. In this case, mix our glue with vynilic glue. you will get a better performance specially with the collections made with "non woven" paper.

Can it be placed over textured walls?
We do not recommend it, you should remove it first.

Do you have professionals documentation?
Yes. Our Contract department is exclusively dedicated to the projection of public spaces. The person in charge of the department will provide all the necessary technical documentation regarding fire prevention and other technical characteristics of the product. This documentation will be available in English and Spanish

What are the technical requirements to send my own design?
You must have a high-resolution image for making a customised paper With the image, we will work the rapport adjustments and design adaptations in accordance with the final needs.

What sizes and supports do you work with?
Technically, any high resolution digital image format works: Freehand , JPG, Tiff, Adobe Illustrator, etc. Ask the Contract department to clarify any doubts.

How can I sell your products in my store?
